St Peter’s Residents’ Association (SPRA) is a voluntary association representing the interests of people living in the St Peter’s, Northgate, Blackfriars and adjoining areas of Canterbury. We are not allied to any political party, commercial organisation or pressure group and our funding relies entirely on the subscriptions from our members and from ‘getting to know you’/fund raising events eg. Summer Party in the garden of the Dominican Priory, quizzes, concerts and Christmas party.
If you are new to the area we welcome you and hope you will be happy living in the heart of historic Canterbury. And we hope it will not be too long before you discover Solly’s Orchard, beside the river between the bridge in St. Radigunds and the Marlowe Theatre. SPRA supports the planting of the borders in this park and they are maintained by volunteers.
In the drop-down menu see also the Area Map which shows the St Peter’s ward in yellow. If you live within this area we hope you will want to join us and help us to represent your views and concerns with local authorities regarding planning, traffic management, antisocial behaviour etc.
Membership of SPRA is £4 per person or £6 per household. The membership fee includes membership of the St Peter’s Neighbourhood Watch scheme. Read more about joining SPRA on the Join Us tab.
